Yeehaw!!

Hello everybody! I'm out on the ranch now, which is pretty cool. I've been having fun learning to ride a four-wheeler, but mine doesn't have working headlights among other issues. Still fun though. I've been learning to do a ton of cool things! I can now fix barbed wire fences and risers for handlines (I think that's what they're called). I've enjoyed learning new things and working more with my hands. Speaking of my hands, they've dried up really fast! It's very dry here, and I've never been so happy to buy Vasoline. Although it's a baby version, so it smells funny. I got to go to Stake Conference here in Ely! I went to all three sessions, and it was great. I got to see some family members (I am in the same stake as my uncle Tabor and my aunt Katie and their girls now). I also met some cool missionaries here. The members here have been friendly so far. One takeaway I had from conference was preparing for the return of Jesus Christ. I'v...

Transfers and Elder Hansen

Hello everybody! I hope that you've all been well. I've had a good week. I'm sorry that I didn't write on Saturday like usual: my silly sister got engaged this weekend. I'm going to the church ranch this Wednesday (tomorrow!). ! I'm very excited. I've been getting all ready, and I am very excited to have a more sturdy schedule, though I will miss a lot of things and people from here. I got to see Elder Hansen! He was my district leader in the Mexico MTC, and he just got transferred to Elko. I've been able to do English class and some Gospel lessons with him and Elder Naal. The three of us got to have lunch at Wendy's as well with some other elders. Tonight we get to have dinner with them and the Wells Elders at our house, which is exciting. To make it even better, my dad is cooking tacos for us! I taught English class for the last time, which is kinda sad. Rosa and Riller came, which was not sad. I've continued to work on family history at my gra...

Hello everybody! I hope that all of you have had a good time. The subject of my email comes from a new word I learned yesterday from my mom. She said it like we all knew what she meant, but then she had to prove it was a word. This week, I've had a very snowy time! We've got winter late this year! I do like that a lot more than the heat of Honduras. I'd much rather be too cold than too hot. I've been doing a good amount of family history this week. Lots of it has been on the Egbert side of the family for the last little while. I still can't get enough of that work. I think it's my favorite so far. English Connect for Pathway went well as usual, but I'm worried about this upcoming week. Elder Morales (the missionary who leads the meetings) can't be there this Thursday. He asked me to be in charge. I hope it goes well. I got to help my great aunt and uncle Anderson move into their new house. It went by quicker than I thought, but I felt like I could have...

Ranch Tour and Honduran Missionary

Hello everybody! I hope your week is going well. Mine has gone by super fast, and it's been super fun! First off, I got to do some family history work at my grandparents' house again. That's always been a favorite part of my week. I really missed them in Honduras, and I'm grateful for this time I've had to visit them very frequently. It's also been great to learn about my ancestors and their stories. We got to have the Spanish Elders and the Wells Elders over for dinner on Tuesday. Before that, I went out with the Wells Elders to work. It turns out that there are lots of dogs to bark at us here too, just not nearly as many, and they're not as gross as they were in Honduras. Dinner was really good. We had baked potatoes with chili, bacon, and a whole host of other good toppings. On Wednesday and Thursday I got to help with unpacking and distributing food at the Catholic church again. I really like working with the people there. They're very friendly. Sadl...
