Hello everybody! I hope that all of you have had a good time. The subject of my email comes from a new word I learned yesterday from my mom. She said it like we all knew what she meant, but then she had to prove it was a word.
This week, I've had a very snowy time! We've got winter late this year! I do like that a lot more than the heat of Honduras. I'd much rather be too cold than too hot.
I've been doing a good amount of family history this week. Lots of it has been on the Egbert side of the family for the last little while. I still can't get enough of that work. I think it's my favorite so far.
English Connect for Pathway went well as usual, but I'm worried about this upcoming week. Elder Morales (the missionary who leads the meetings) can't be there this Thursday. He asked me to be in charge. I hope it goes well.
I got to help my great aunt and uncle Anderson move into their new house. It went by quicker than I thought, but I felt like I could have been a better help than I was.
I got to go to Stake Conference today and yesterday. It was really good! My grandparents took us to dinner at Mattie's yesterday before the adult session of stake conference, so that was amazing. President Saxton and his wife were there and gave good talks. My favorite talks were the ones from the Egberts and from a recent convert who first got connected to the church by being a security guard at the temple (I forgot his name, I'll call him Bob).
One thing that really stood out to me from Stake Conference was when Bob quoted Patriarch Egbert: "The people who judged you will be judged." Bob was unsure that he could become a member of the church because he had tattoos, and he was different. The truth is that the Church of Jesus Christ is for all people with all kinds of backgrounds. God's church is for everyone.
Pictures are:
A horse I 3d printed, and my grandpa sanded, painted, and glued to the wooden block.
A voxel snowball made from a mold I 3d printed
