Christmas Again? Featuring Dr. Pepper KOs

Image
Hello everybody! I hope that you've all been well since I last wrote. Sorry that I let so much time go by. The theme of fencing was still going strong last week. I worked on that a lot with Elders Enrico and Anderson. We've fixed a lot of fence, but there's always so much more to fix. We had a Christmas party at the church ranch close to Alamo. It was so good! For some reason, the Elders at that ranch decided that they'd rather go to Las Vegas for zone conference. But they did get to go to the temple, which is good for them. The party only had a few of us there, but it was very social and had great food. I brought some Dr. Shasta. I loved having a 2lb. steak. Very nice. I got to sing in a community choir for the Christmas concert in Baker. It was so much fun! The school orchestra, though small, is incredibly talented! I loved all of the musical numbers, and even got to do a little solo in Spanish for Silent Night. I love the community there. Even though it's so sm...

Cross-Country Fish

Hello everybody! I hope that you've all had a good week. I know I have. Last week we did feeding as usual, except we now have Elder Anderson. He misses home, but has done well here so far. We've started feeding on a big flatbed truck instead of a tractor pulling a trailer, and I don't like it as much. The bed is higher so it's harder to climb on. Also, I feel the bumps a lot more. Oh well. Beggars can't be choosers. We've also done a lot of fence work together. There have been a couple posts to gates that have been destroyed, so we redid those. We do still have a bit of fencing to do and redo. Today we had a fish fry! Elder Caldwell, a senior service missionary, caught salmon and halibut while visiting Alaska, and we all got some at his party. I just don't know how he got it so far without it going bad. I've got a new favorite job to do! I'm not sure if I like it any more than my other favorite jobs. It's chopping wood. It's really relaxing...

Thanksgiving and Happy Birthday to Me

Hello everyone! I'm sorry that I haven't written in a while. I will try to write an email every week. Elder Waite left, and today we got a new Elder named Elder Anderson. So far it's been good to meet him. We'll see how that goes. We have been doing a lot of feeding. We're really gearing up for winter. We moved a bunch of calves out to Rogers and feed them every day. There have been a few of them being sick; one even died. I would show a picture of the autopsy, but I don't think that my mom would like that. The last couple of weeks, I've been doing quite a bit of fencing. I really like fixing fences. It's so peaceful. It also feels good to look at something you've finished and to see that it is good. Thanksgiving and my birthday were all great! I got to go home (my uncle Tabor's family gave me a ride, and that was so nice) and see my family and spend time with them. I even got to go to the Elko temple with a lot of extended family. Then we went...
