Town
Hello everybody! I hope that you are doing well. It's been getting pretty cold here in Spring Valley. It seems like fall has come in just these last two weeks. We're still doing handlines though and usually can't move them until noon because of the cold. We should be done soon.
I've picked quite a bit of rock this week. Nothing much else has been consistent. I've helped dig out a culvert. It was so deep in the ground and clogged up. It came up in pieces. I'm glad we used the backhoe for that.
We've gone to town just about every Saturday for the past three weeks, and will be going next time. Busy days. Part of that is because today we went to some meetings for Stake Conference. It was good to see my uncle Tabor and Sister Kesler. Along with President and Sister Saxton.
Please pray for the Burcham and Stevenson family. They are friends and family from my home ward. There was a terrible accident this last week. Please pray for them.
I feel as if I've seen enough loss of so many people on my mission to fill a chasm. And I sometimes think that it's dark enough that I'll fall in with it along with any hope of lasting happiness. But I have learned that though we cannot always see it because of the focus of our minds that the Light of Christ and His infinite Atonement of love for us and for every hurt soul in this world is bright enough to lighten any gloomy day, week, or year. I know that the best is yet to come because Jesus is coming again.
Sincerely,
Elder Cobian
