St. George Temple!
Hello everybody!
I hope you've all had a great week, I know I have! I hardly even worked with wood this week. Instead, I mostly dug holes for fence braces and learned how to drive a tractor for dragging.
A couple of the Davis kids, Ret and Oren (I think that's how to spell it?), are interested in my 3d printer. It's been really fun to show it to them and make them a couple things.
I would recommend never buying a chainsaw from STIHL. It doesn't want to keep tension on the chain, even when it's only a year old.
It's super marshy here, so when I was digging the holes, I dug down like two feet, and the bottom started to flood. Super cool. There's also fun little mice and frogs in the fields.
On Friday we got up super early to help Elder Lund move his handline (handlines for Elder Enrico and for me haven't been set up yet) so we could go help some friends put in a mainline that'll connect to some wheel-lines and some other stuff. They fed us lunch and gave us frozen venison.
Saturday we also got up super early and moved handlines so we could go to the St. George temple. It's absolutely beautiful! We also got to go to Snow Canyon national park to hike. It was also very nice. I got to try Blaze Pizza for the first time. I can see why Elder Lund wanted us to eat there.
My spiritual thought today comes from D&C. I was reading it on the way to church on Sunday. It's D&C 35:13-14
13 Wherefore, I call upon the weak things of the world, those who are unlearned and despised, to thresh the nations by the power of my Spirit;
14 And their arm shall be my arm, and I will be their shield and their buckler; and I will gird up their loins, and they shall fight manfully for me; and their enemies shall be under their feet; and I will let fall the sword in their behalf, and by the fire of mine indignation will I preserve them
It just really makes me think of missionary work and how miraculous it all is. I would say that mine has been miraculous from the beginning, and will continue to be so.
Sincerely, Elder Cobian
