Busy and Bright
Hello everyone!
I hope you've had a great couple of weeks. I've been doing well. Just very busy. I've spent most of the week dragging a chain with a big tractor to break up cow pies and helping build a fence.
My handline is set up for watering my part of a field. It has some small problems I still need to work at, but it's come a long way!
I had a very crazy P-day last week. We decided to go to town because my comps forgot some things when we went to St. George, and we couldn't find other things at Walmart there. After some errands and shopping, we went to McDonald's. I was very disappointed by the size of the burger I got. Oh well.
After we got back, we moved our handlines. We planned to have plenty of time to go to an Easter concert that I was singing in. I was going to have practice for about 45 minutes before it, but at the last minute, Cade (the ranch manager) asked us to feed new cows we got. I didn't get to practice, but the concert still went well. I think my favorite part was the high-school orchestra playing "Prince of Egypt."
This last P-day (Saturday) was also pretty busy. We spent all morning finishing the fence because it was a service project for people in our stake. We had sandwiches after. It was pretty fun! I even got to see my family because they stopped by driving back from watching my brother, Marcos, in All-State Choir in Las Vegas. They brought me a lot of nice stuff.
We helped Elder and Sister Z with a concrete project, and for that, Sister Z made us ice cream! I donated some of my oreos that my grandparents sent with me. It was the best!
In Elders Quorum this last Sunday, Cade was teaching the lesson. It really stuck out to me. One part that was especially important to me was the way that he talked about the Story of Ammon. He was a missionary in such an extraordinary way. He didn't come up to King Lamoni and say "Hi! I'm a missionary! Do you want to hear a message?" He said that he wanted to serve the king and live among his people, maybe even until he died. He was very dedicated to the work. I want to be more dedicated too.
Sincerely, Elder Cobian
