Lesson Cancelled?
Hi everybody! How are you? I hope you're all doing well. I have had such a busy week, but it's been good! I'm pleased with how well things have picked up here.
I went to the YSA branch for church, and it was pretty fun. I brought muffins for the breakfast-themed linger-longer, which was good.
At my grandma's house, we've finished with all of the records she had in her folder downstairs, so we pulled a lot more down from upstairs. I'm so excited to work with those! It's some of my favorite work to do!
At FHE this week we did a video game night. I played Super Smash Bros, and did not know what was going on. I also did some card games and this one game that was like Kahoot. It was pretty fun.
Wednesday and Thursday were super busy with helping the Reno Food Bank. We were at the Catholic Church in Elko. It was a lot of fun to do. I moved so many juice boxes!
I taught English class twice this week, but on Monday and Wednesday instead of Wednesday and Friday. On Monday I went to Lucio's house and taught his family, which went super well! On Wednesday we had class like normal, and decided to not do Fridays anymore because most people can't make it anyways. So going forward, English class will be on Mondays and Wednesdays at the church, and I might keep teaching Lucio and his family at their house.
Also on Wednesday I also got to go visit Andy Woods in town. She's a member who's also a Native American. She showed us her collection of artifacts. She told us all about her childhood and history and the artifacts she had. It was all very cool! I think I ought to learn more about where I live as a whole. There's always more going on than I think.
I've thought a bit recently about how the heavens are open. Not only does revelation from on high pour out upon us, but so do blessings. Blessings are largely received based on obedience to the commandments of God. In my experience, I have seen the blessings come for obedience, and I also see when I have kept them from myself by being foolish.
I hope you all take care, and that the Lord blesses you.
