When Will You Learn!?!?!?

Hello everybody!

This week has had a lot of ups and downs. One day we have the best numbers in the district, and then we have nearly nothing but zeros. One day we're all getting along just fine, the next we only send our daily reports by audio messages instead of video calls because my companion got into a fight with the district leader. Ni modo, we move on.

We dropped Gerson and Jafeth yesterday. It's really sad because they've been coming to church nearly every Sunday and watching thr Book of Mormon Videos on their own! But Gerson says that he doesn't like our church. Of course he doesn't tell us why, but oh well.

My companion noted that there are two big problems people have with understanding. It's either that they don't understand the need of authority, or that they do not realize that not just anyone can have authority. I need to focus on simplifying how I teach and finding out more of what it is that people need to learn. I'll get it!

I had exchanges with Élder Martinez from Mexico, it was awesome! We had an awesome time talking about Mexican food. I was also very impressed on how hard-working he is. He's been in the same area for 3 transfers (each one is a month and a half). It's a very hard area; nobody there wants anything to do with the church. He has tow and a half weeks left, and he could be super lazy if he wanted to, but he is enduring to the end. I hope I am like that when I finish.

Today we got to watch movies! I got to see Princess and the Frog, and right now we're watching Moana. Tomorrow we've got Multizone Conference. I'm very excited for that and for my care package that is waiting for me there!

I've been reading in Alma recently, focusing on the mission chapters. It's crazy to me just how much of it is relatable! I love seeing how there are those who have gone before me by thousands of years who went through the same things I do.

Whelp, that's all I've got! I hope you all take care and that the Lord blesses you!

Sincerely,
Elder Cobian
