Hurricane Sara

 Hello everybody!

This week was interesting. There was a hurricane that hit, although very far away from us. The only thing we got from it was a LOT of rain! The main street flooded Friday night again. We'd done a service project clearing up dirt that had built up from the last time it flooded, but this week all of our work had been undone. Oh well.

It's sad to me that some people who start out progressing so well and so quickly can come to a screeching halt. Whenever we try to do anything good at any time, Satan redoubles his efforts to thwart our good plans. He's already lost, so he wants us to be sad like he is.

I've seen some really good progress too! And not where I'd expect it. Eliana Mejía, the daughter of Marta Mejía said that she wants to be a missionary like we are! It's humbling to know that there are people who watch me, and see me as an example. I need to be a better example.

We found a Victor and an Erickson (lots of Victors here). We hadn't really taught them, but they both went to church! Erickson's uncle brought him once when he was 10. Victor went to church at 8:00 instead of 10:00.  He stayed for both wards though! Of course he was very excited to be done when he had been sitting down for four hours, I would be to! I just hope he hadn't had too bad of an impression.

I need to do better with my emails. I'll try writing a little bit every night so I can do a better job of telling about what happens every week. I hope you're all doing well and taking care. May God bless you all.

Sincerely,
Elder Cobian
